- You will gain hands-on experience configuring and operating key security features, including security profiles (IPS, antivirus, web filtering, application control) and inspection of encrypted SSL/TLS traffic.
- You will learn how to manage FortiGate devices using both the graphical user interface (GUI) and the command-line interface (CLI), including the control of administrative access and permissions.
- You will learn how to deploy and operate access and connectivity scenarios such as SSL VPN, site-to-site IPsec VPN, high availability (HA), and the principles of the Fortinet Security Fabric.
- You will acquire practical skills in designing and applying firewall policies and NAT (port forwarding, source NAT, and destination NAT) to control network access.

In this course, you will focus on the most used features of FortiGate firewalls and their practical use in real operation. Through interactive lab exercises you will practice configuring firewall policies, user authentication, high availability (HA), SSL VPN, site-to-site IPsec VPN and the principles of Fortinet Security Fabric.
You will also learn how to effectively protect your network with FortiGate security profiles such as IPS, antivirus, web filtering and application control. The administrative fundamentals learned will provide you with a solid understanding of implementing and managing FortiGate firewalls, allowing you to safely and effectively deploy these technologies in a production environment.
