The Critical Infrastructure Act is a piece of legislation that establishes a framework for identifying, protecting, and ensuring the resilience of critical infrastructure in the state. This law usually defines what is considered critical infrastructure, determines the obligations of the owners and operators of these infrastructures, and establishes mechanisms for cooperation between the public and private sectors. In the Czech Republic, the issue of critical infrastructure is primarily governed by Act No. 240/2000 Coll., on crisis management (crisis law) and some other related regulations.
Critical Entities Resilience (CER) refers to the ability of underlying infrastructure and services to withstand, adapt and recover quickly from disruptions, ensuring the continuous delivery of critical functions. This concept is critical to maintaining the stability and security of society, especially in the face of natural disasters, cyber attacks, pandemics or other significant threats.
The Critical Infrastructure Manager is responsible for ensuring the security, resilience and continuous operation of key infrastructure systems and services. His role includes a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that are critical to the prevention, preparation, response and recovery of various types of threats and emergencies.
