Completing the SAFe Scrum Master course is required to take the SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) exam.
Although the course does not have strict qualification requirements, to successfully complete the SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM) it is recommended to be familiar with: Agile concepts and principles.
Furthermore, knowledge of the SCRUM, Kanban, and eXtreme Programming (XP) methodologies. Knowledge of processes, basic orientation in the software development life cycle are an advantage.
The certification exam, which is taken individually after completing the course, is optional.
The certificate declares your ability to manage agile teams, control interactions, coaching, and the overall SAFe methodology in your positions.
Although this certification is similar in content to Leading Safe or SAFe Product Owner, Developer, it is specific to the needs of a SCRUM Master.

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a framework for scaling agile methodologies to the level of the entire organization. It is a comprehensive and fully integrated framework that provides procedures, tools and methodologies for transforming an organization to agile operation. SAFe combines the principles of agile software development with concepts and practices from systems thinking, Lean management and DevOps.
As part of the training, you will receive access to the Scaled Agile Community and a voucher for the final SAFe exam. The exam takes place online in an individual appointment. After successfully passing the exam, you will receive a certificate issued by Scaled Agile.
The new version of the SAFe methodology brings several changes, including the simplification of basic concepts, changes in program boards and processes, improvements to tools and support materials, and more.
These changes and improvements in SAFe version 6 aim to strengthen agile culture and processes in organizations and improve the ability of organizations to respond to change and innovate in an ever-changing business environment.
