DevOps is a philosophy, culture, and set of practices focused on unifying software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) with the goal of shortening the software development delivery cycle, improving the quality of software products, and increasing the agility and reliability of IT infrastructure. The term "DevOps" was created by combining the words "development" and "operations".

DevOps is a modern way to effectively deal with the release of software, applications, or updates. The methodology supports agile teamwork between the development department and the IT operation responsible for its deployment. It is between IT Operation and Development that most errors occur, and the functioning of the two divisions is in strong contrast.

An example of a stereotype that is negatively reflected in the entire organization:

Developers expect IT Operations to update applications as soon as they give them an update. However, IT operations are concerned that the update is not tested and its deployment is risky. They ignore the update and resist new systems.

The goal of DevOps is to change behavior by defining a framework for how both groups should work together. Without these best practices, problems occur that harm users as well as the organization. At the same time, she needs to rely on her software for business support, customer relationship management and profit generation.
