Why does a project manager need business analysis?

Clear project goals and benefits

Business analysis helps define why a project is being done and what value it should bring. This helps project managers avoid situations where a project is delivered on schedule but does not meet the actual needs of the business.

Effective work with requirements

A project manager who masters business analysis techniques is better able to collect, structure, and validate stakeholder requirements. This minimizes the risk of changes and misunderstandings, saving time and money.

A stronger role in change management

Business analysis knowledge gives PMs the opportunity to take on part of the role of a business analyst, especially where a BA is not available. This strengthens their competencies and increases the chance that the project will actually deliver the expected value and user support.

Which course should I choose?

The Business Analysis for Project Managers course can be taken either as a one-day option or as an extended two-day version labeled Practical. The first day is devoted to the standard program, which explains the principles and methods of business analysis according to BABOK® and their connection to project management. The second day follows up with a practical workshop focused on the pre-project phase, working with Business Case, feasibility studies, and also the discipline of Change Management with an emphasis on the human factor of change. Participants can choose whether they want to acquire only theoretical knowledge and take the certification exam, or whether they prefer the extended format, which allows them to supplement everything with practical exercises based on real-life scenarios.
